Marketing Tip Tuesday: Lead with Authenticity

Hello again, and welcome to another week of Marketing Tip Tuesday!

Today's topic ties in nicely to our previous MTT post about making your brand relatable. As I've mentioned previously, you'll have a much better chance of connecting with your audience when you find ways to relate to them on a more meaningful level. For example, sharing aspects about your brand that are relatable to your average consumer will allow them to see your brand as more than just a company trying to sell them a product or service.

But, in order to be relatable, you've got to be authentic.

Authenticity is crucial when it comes to long-term impressions of your brand. So, whenever you're considering your brand messaging, images, social media posts, and more; be sure to reflect on what makes your brand unique and true.

Try not to focus on what anyone else is doing, or what "trends" may be out there at the moment. Ultimately, a competitor's marketing methods or a random social media trend may not be the best avenues for you to connect with your audience. Instead of constantly looking for outward inspiration, look inward and ask yourself what makes you, you; and what parts of your brand are an extension of yourself.  By doing this, you will already be setting the intention on making authentic connections with your audience by sharing real and compelling content.

I've recently worked with a photographer who is a perfect example of how to allow your authentic self to flow into your brand. Tracy (of Tracy Doyle Photography) is enthusiastic, caring, and confident in her abilities; and she allows these attributes to translate into how she communicates her brand value and offering(s). She doesn't try to be everything at once, but she does honor her multi-faceted abilities and interests as a photographer. As a result, she has been able to work in a variety of industries, and she is able to share these experiences on her blog (with some assistance from The C Perspective!).

Overall, if you stay true to your brand, you will attract consumers who connect with it. This will allow you to have more meaningful and long-term success.

If you're having trouble figuring out a direction for your brand, let's chat! I can help you evaluate the unique aspects of your brand that will allow it to connect with your ideal audience.

Have a wonderful week!
